Another Monday:)

Well, another week has begun, and we hit the ground running!
We have finished up our first Science Investigation on Energy. Make sure you visit the Foss Site and play  Resource ID Game at the top of the page.

In math we have begun Chapter 2. Look for the Parent Letter to come home from our Study Links book. This 2-page letter has an answer key for all of Chpt. 2's Study Link pages.

In Social Studies, we are exploring the United States as a whole country. We have one lesson on Natural Resources coming up, and then it will be time for our 1st Chapter Test:)

In Reading/Language/Spelling: We are going to be working in Lesson 4 this week. The main selection is entitled: The Power of W.O.W.!
Don't forget, our Journeys materials are available online. Follow the link under Text Books to Journeys.
Student's usernames are their first name last name (no spaces-lower case) & the password is crusaders

Have a great week!

We went fishing today... :)

Yes, that's right - we went fishing - for spelling words that is:) The children practiced spelling words with a fishing game I put together for them. They really enjoyed practicing for the test.

Don't forget to wear blue tomorrow. We will be attending an assembly given by the current Miss Illinois. Each grade is wearing a different color which correlates with a pillar from our Character Counts program. Come back tomorrow to view pictures from the assembly.
