Can you balance an egg on its end?

Several years ago, I read that you can balance an egg on its end only during the Spring and Fall Equinox.
My son tried it that Spring and was successful, so I assumed it to be true.

Question- Is this an urban legend?
To prove or disprove this - Try to balance an egg today and on the Spring Equinox. Report what happens...

ISATs are OVER

Whew! Finally, our ISAT testing is over. I want to commend all of you on your hard work and perfect attendance!

We have only 8 school days until Spring Break, so as I mentioned this morning - we will be finishing up Chapters and Units so that nothing is "hanging over our heads" over break.


I will give a ticket to anyone who can tell me what type of figurative language I used in quotation marks.
